It would be great to get correspondance going on these blogs, as I am not a gold member. I have interests in having a penpal. I have been widowed for 4 years and although I feel I am ready to date, I have 4 kids at home to deal with and they consume my days. I will talk about almost anything. I attend Mass when I can, and it is an important part of my life. I don't pray much either but I am learning.

Hi Melany. Thanks for those words of encouragement. Right you are to say not to lose hope. It is all in God's time, not mine.

Hey Graciouscare! LOL yes you can call me hockey--that's what we do up here in Canada starting tommorrow!
The Weep Not For Me poem you wrote for your deceased friend is quite similar to the one I chose to be printed on my late husband's funeral cards. Your poem is a reminder of how he would want his loved ones to live. Every once in a while I pull my little ones in and remind them of that(man, the mischief they can get into!).
My brothers and their families, and my parents have been getting together a lot recently, and it has been an excellent opportunity for me to show them that being a Catholic has only strengthened my faith. I only became Catholic in 1986, and I am the only Catholic in my family. I come from a long line of Mennonnites, so when word went around of my baptism, I had a lot of "splaining" to do. I have shown by example of how I have fared through tough times that I pray to the same God they do. I shared with my dad that both of our faiths share the same core beliefs, that we must confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is our Saviour, come into this world to wash away our sins. My dad seems to be the only one who has respect for me. My brothers all from time to time say I should return to the Mennonite faith. I tell them this is where God wants me.
Another cool car from the car show I went to.

Hi I'll call you Hockey if you like, I think you are ready. It will be great penpalling with you. I am quite far from you so our friendship will be without the pressures of a face to face. I am a writer/poet and Christian [catholic] servent. I do pray alot, and my life is lead by my faith. Much simpler to have one leader [Holy Spirit] instead of two. I will send you a poem I wrote for a recently deceased friend. It brought comfort to them maybe it will confirm your love and enable you to continue with your ministry.

Weep not for Me

Weep not for me
For I shall not be long
In this place of rest
With angels singing songs

I am a moment away
In the twinkling of an eye
At the sound of the trump
When time is bye and bye

Weep not for me
For love is near at hand
He walks with me forever
And Jesus is his name

For all the days I wonder
If all I?ve done is enough
Then comes the answer I cherish
Jesus has filled me up

Weep not for me
The truth in life is learned
The answer for your questions
Are in Jesus here on earth

Be given to this truth
And heaven surely waits
For all who call upon the name
Of God?s love and grace

Jesus
