Sharing Moments

Share with me a moment
To consider what is true,
Share a hug of friendship
From God sent to you,

Let all you feel
Be felt by Him,
Whose faithful words and deeds
Are known thru out this universe
He is the Creator and King

Being given as we are
To error and fault and sin,
To selfish want and hatreds
These come not from Him,

But He has a remedy
And today we are filled with hope,
For by His love He gave his life
That the Father?s will

For you child of the Father.

The Passion of Days

Let us return to the love we have known
To a time when passion was felt and shown
In gracious words and gestures of love
By patience and insight given by God

We will again discover the truth
Of just what did bring us love in our youth
To walk again in the intimacy of love
To share the excitement of how we were touched

No need for sorrow, no need for regret
Our life has produced an abundance of faith
And in the discovery of the passion of days
Again we discover the reason we stay

Let us return and again be born
In the love we once knew, and by experience learn
Our love is passionate and has no shame
We share what we knew, it is intimacy we claim

The Rose of Sharon

Where my beloved shall I find you hid?
Perhaps in the way by the ocean
Far from confusion, toil and sin

Where my beloved
Shall we share passions light?
In the cover of our open heart
To be each others delight

Where my beloved
Shall the gloom of night cease?
In the light of eternal presence
On the day of eternal peace

Where my beloved
Shall the Rose of Sharon grow?
In the heart of the warrior
In the heart full of scarlet snow

For my most beloved, Karen

Thanks for the wink, I looked into your profile and am impressed. I am a christian i hope that doesn't offend you. I do not have any real hard rules about what is right or wrong only to obey what the Spirit of God relates thru prayer and the Scriptures. I cannot hold others responsible for how the Holy Spirit deals with me. sometimes he takes me to the wood shed and that's when most of my "education" occurs, he takes me quite often! God bless him! any way I wrote this poem for a friend if here in town. i hope you like ti also.

Charged to Peace

Seeking to serve,
He comforts us in peace,
Seeking to reveal,
His love in us increase
Seeking to love
We find in him release
For so loved he us
He died that we believe

Response to Hope

Living in the world has reduced the array of choice and at the same time declare that there is freedom in pursuing our own fulfillment? How can we know the limits of us and be so foolish to embrace the constricts of our office in this day and age. Our freedom is not found in our self but in the infinite God we claim to reverence? and if this is true why do we begrudge the grace we have available to us in obedience? must we only seek grace in our indignation? There will be a cost upon us who have mocked God according to judgement given in scripture. To the Christian first as also to the unbeliever? Embrace the freedom in an infinite God that through obedience to the instructions of his Grace we be found without violation of a contived nature, let us not give license to sin, but plan and think on those things He would have us recieve, truth, love, peace, kindness, grace, and the joy that fulfilling these things brings.

I am glad you like the tribute Hockey, I thought you might. I volunteer at a hospital and the hospice unit said they would like a few copies to help familiy's dealing with departures. Yes it is a wonderful idea to keep the love of your family intact by remembering that love. Here is a short poem. I wrote this week, I have been very inspired by the grace God has allowed me to observe. Agape'
Gary

As love is sown a subtle seed
A gift of grace, a holy need
We will care; for the blade and feed
With tender words and righteous deeds
This fruitful tree

Our God has given us to love
By truth and grace and incorruptible trust
Because our will is not sought
Our love is pure: by Spirit taught

Day by day we look to Him
For ways our love can serve and live
We find each other as servants of truth
Our love for one another by God is renewed

We turn away from temptation and sin
We reject the flesh as love?s origin
We listen for truth found in our love
We know it is God who has sown this in us

These days of life are eternal in love
We share this eternity with the children of God
As children we receive each other in truth
As brethren our love remains fresh and new

My Friend Eternal

Gracefully I sought your face
From days of conflict and peace
To this I add what comes at length
The knowledge of our need

A word of truth spoken in love
A word to share my heart
With them who laugh and rise above
The troubles found afar

We share what is close to us
We share what is valued and dear
What is there to share a lie
As trouble draws us near

Give to them whose days are short
A gift of grace and truth
Give to them whose life is long
That pleasure companion?s brew

Trust in all the love you give
And God will honor send
To you a gift of eternal treasure
A gift of an eternal friend

Rendezvous ,There were two men on the highway outside the village. As they faced each other it was evident that one of them was having difficulty making his way. The other could see it and as he approached he asked the man what brought him here. He answered,I came to find the healer and prophet who could restore my sight. In the village where I come from we have heard of the miracles and wisdom of this rabbi for more than three years.I have been searching for him for 6 months;can you tell me where I can find him? These words came as a shock and the other man told him,I know of whom you speak,he was executed by the Romans about a year ago,His disciples are still in the city if you think they can help. The blind man said,I have no place left to go, if you would take me to His disciples. Before I do tell me what you know about the master? The blind man answered,I have only heard wonderful things about Him,miracles he has performed, that he won't turn away any who seek his help.I was told that he makes a show of the Pharisees and their hypocrisy by catching them in their own words. Why would the Romans want him dead?He came to bring life and truth. Those already here whose job it was to prepare for him where slack in their duty. So,they created a lie that was troubling to the Romans and compelled them to kill him.But these are not sad words for He lives and I myself have seen him with the disciples after his execution. He came to take away our fear and to strengthen us for our future work. So,you are one of his disciples?I am lost, the master is gone. The disciple said?Faith heals, have you the faith to be healed??The blind answered,?Yes.??Then receive your sight,?At that moment the blind man received his sight. As he was looking at the disciple he saw a man standing behind him, he asked, ?who is that standing behind you??Spinning around the figure disappeared, the two men where again alone but they both knew who it was, they then proceeded to the city where the miracle was reported.

Proverbs/Wisdom

Love is fulfilled in the joy of others
Time well spent is spent well loved
Investments of love increases our days
Love does not worry, but is confident in truth
Worry is the tool fear employs to corrupt truth
Sharing concerns reveals the truth of your love
Disappointment blinds the heart to understanding
It is more difficult to receive honor than to give it
Honor is given to fill the heart that is poured out
Grace is love in action
Faith is the work of believing in truth
Our gifts are the measure of our love
Friendship is a gift of love
Truth spoken gently is received with grace
Truth spoken harshly creates animosity
Confusion will reveal the fear of rejection
An answer in love can reveal the truth
Expect the best of yourself and your friends will give their best
Forgiveness will soothe the pain of consequences
Joy is the peace of understanding
Seek love by expressing it
Find truth by living in it
Receive grace in humility, and mercy will bring peace
Love comforts pain and heals wounds
Love increases joy by revealing truth

The Smallest Hope

The Smallest Hope

As Jesus and the disciple?s continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into their home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord?s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, ?Lord, doesn?t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help.?
But, the Lord said to her, ?My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it?and I won?t take it away from her.?
Upon hearing this Martha bowed her head in shame and confessed, ?Forgive me Lord, for my selfishness.? When she said this Jesus loved her in the Spirit of Truth and Compassion and said, ?You have not sinned neither was there malice in your words be not ashamed, only tell me how I may help you.?
When Martha heard this reply she was filled with the Spirit of Joy, and received the love Jesus had shared with her. She then mentioned what was needed to be done and Jesus began to help in the preparations.
Mary and the others wondered what had happened to Jesus so she went into the kitchen area to see if he where there. Seeing him working with her sister she turned to the others and said, ?Here he is, helping Martha.? Immediately they all began in the preparations and as they worked Jesus taught them about fellowship and service to one another, as the lesson ended the meal was complete they all then sat and ate supper.

Poem to Care

Weep not for Me

Weep not for me
For I shall not be long
In this place of rest
With angels singing songs

I am a moment away
In the twinkling of an eye
At the sound of the trump
When time is bye and bye

Weep not for me
For love is near at hand
He walks with me forever
And Jesus is his name

For all the days I wonder
If all I've done is enough
Then comes the answer I cherish
Jesus has filled me up

Weep not for me
The truth in life is learned
The answer for your questions
Are in Jesus here on earth

Be given to this truth
And heaven surely waits
For all who call upon the name
Of God's love and grace

Jesus

Listen to the Wind

Of all the words of men
Spoken by enemy or friend
Those who seek for peace
Are found in grace complete

A word subtle and new
A silence resounding in truth
The presence of God imbued
In the quiet of the wind renewed

Therefore listen to the wind
God may be found within
As a humble and gentle voice
As that love offered thru choice

Be given to seek this truth
In all who?s breath is used
To share the news and Joys
Of Jesus and the love he employed
